Title: Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain #2)

Author: Kristen Ashley

Published: June 24th 2014 by Forever

Plot: She’s ready for the ride of her life . . .

Lauren Grahame (MC #1) is looking to reinvent herself. After leaving her cheating husband, Lauren moves to Carnal, Colorado and gets a job as a waitress in a biker bar called Bubba’s (love this about the story!). It’s a nothing job in a nowhere joint . . . until Tatum Jackson walks in (:O ). Lauren has never seen a man with such good looks, muscles, and attitude. But when he insults her, Lauren doesn’t want anything to do with him. Too bad for Lauren he’s also the bar’s part owner and bartender.

When the rough-around-the-edges Tate (MC #2) meets the high-class Lauren, he thinks she won’t fit in at Bubba’s. Yet there’s more to Lauren than meets the eye, and Tate soon sets his mind on claiming her as his own. Before long, the desire burning between them is heating up the cold mountain air. But when violence strikes the town, Tate must reveal a dark secret to Lauren, one that may put an end to their sweet dreams.

This book was…. PERFECTION!

Warning: There might me comparison b/w Beautiful Disaster, and this book (just warning you 😉 )

I’m going to tell everyone now, if you decide to read this book and no, you don’t have to read the first book first, but if you want to understand the characters and relationships better, then I recommend you do… Please note, that the main guy character, Tate, he is just like Travis in Beautiful Disaster… if you haven’t read Beautiful Disaster, we’ve got some problems…

And what I mean by that, is that Tate likes to have things his way, and he likes to claim things… And that’s what Tate does here, but in the end, for Travis too of course bith of these men learn that this isn’t the 17th century, and the women can have their own rights, and they don’t need to be told what to do.

This “claiming” that people like to call it, has 2 sides.

One: It can be that these men have a case of “over-protectiveness”, like if they’re the alpha of a pack, claiming their mate… which is cute :3

But the other one: can be known as abuse, which gives abuse a whole different definition, just saying…

In my opinion I really don’t think its “abusive” I just think these men didn’t have a good childhood, (like no parents, or family, and in some cases that was the reason) and they didn’t have a loving and caring woman in their life, (all they had were one-nighters shame…) so these men thought they weren’t capable of love. Which changes in this book!!! (for Tate)

Anyway back to my review…

The reason this book is 600 pages long, is because this story starts with Lauren moving from her perfect life.
Then Lauren going on a 4 month trip to find the place she wants to call “home”.

And this place ends up being Colorado, I forgot the city name :3 but this city is a biker village, which means its very small, they’re lots of biker gangs, and on top of that Lauren waitresses at the bar!!! how does that not interest you?! Yes, its stupid, but come on!! Its fun, and interesting to read about a girl, who was rich, and spoiled, turn into someone completely different in the end!!

Also, this story is very detailed, which is why the pages are so long to get through, because the author describes in detail the village, peoples appearances, the POV’s thoughts, and feelings, and the situations…

I loved Tate’s and Lauren’s relationship build, I loved that Lauren was nice but at the same time, if you mess with her, she can make you speechless, and I loved Jonas!!! (not telling you who he is :), but he’s ADORABLE!), also the way all their characters played their role in this book 🙂

You don’t have to read this series in order, but if you want to know the village, the character’s friendship, and the relationships, then go ahead and read the first one before this one, but its not mandatory 😉

Title: Getting Rowdy (Love Undercover #3)

Author: Lori Foster

Published: September 24th 2013 by Harlequin HQN

Plot: An alpha hero’s attraction to the one woman he can’t have could draw him into a killer’s snare.

In this book we have 2 POV’s. We have Rowdy, and Avery.

Charismatic bar owner Rowdy Yates isn’t the kind of man women say no to. So when he approaches waitress Avery Mullins, he fully expects to get her number. However, the elusive beauty has her reasons for keeping her distance. (including a past that might come back to haunt them both)

Avery spends her nights working for tips… and trying to forget the secret Rowdy is determined to unearth. But when history threatens to repeat itself, Avery grows to rely on Rowdy’s protective presence. As the sparks between them ignite, she will be forced to choose between the security she’s finally found… and the passion she’s always wanted.

WOW!!!! Was that hot, sexy, steamy, and just lovable :’)

I loved the setting, (Avery working at a bar), I loved the characters, (every single one of them) even Fisher because he turned out good in the end. The one that was bad was Meyer, he sucked 😛 he’s on my stupid characters list -_-, I loved the relationship built between Avery and Rowdy, I loved what the author did with the other characters from the previous 2 books and combined it into this one, and that cover ❤ Wow!!!! Hottttttt :3

This book just from the cover, I knew it was going to be for me 🙂 And I knew I was going to enjoy it!!! Wooohooo!!!!! Now I just need to read the previous 2 (even though I don’t have to) and then I’ll read the sequel later :3 I’m so glad there’s more books in this series!!! I need to see what happens with them in the future!!

Author: Elene Sallinger

The much anticipated follow up to the award-winning ‘Awakening’ (a compelling novel of discovery and desire.)

They’re 2 POV’s in this book.

There’s Bridget Ross, who is a woman with a shameful secret. Despite a life full of success and close friends she denies herself her true desires in penance for the crimes she can’t take back.

And there’s Connor Reynolds, who is a man without a purpose. His own tragic past prevents him from putting down roots and pursuing his dreams.

Everything changes when their paths collide forcing them to face the ultimate question, “Is their love worth fighting for?”

This book was so romantic and cute 🙂

But it was a bit frustrating also, I mean if you love each other or start to like each other, then just go for it!! Stop denying your chemistry, because of your past tragic!! Just go for it!!! And I’m glad they took my advice in the end of the book, because if they didn’t, the book would’ve ended up in Mexico already -_-.

If you love erotica romance, then this author is for you.

Me personally, I’m not really into Erotica, I’m more into Contemporary. But I wanted to challenge myself and see if I would ever see myself into reading this type of genre, but I obviously haven’t seen myself reading it yet, but the writing, and the plot were good, so I’m not going to not like a book because of its genre, its just wrong. I’m rating it based on how the book was written not on what the genre is.

Author: Elisabeth Staab

Published: June 3rd 2014 by Sourcebooks Casablanca

She wants out.
Party girl Alexia Blackburn is only hanging around the vampire compound until her best friend—the queen—has her baby. After that, nothing is going to stop Alexia from getting back to daylight, safety, and feeling like a normal human being. But leaving the vampire world has one big catch…

He needs her to stay.
Head of vampire security Lee Goram has hated and distrusted humans for centuries. Feeding on vampire blood has kept him strong…but now it’s killing him—and he’s horrified to discover that Alexia may hold the key to his cure. He’d rather die defending his king than admit his weakness, but time is running out for the great vampire warrior…

This book has 2 POV’s. Alexia, and Lee. They both like each other, but the problem with that, is Lee is a vampire warrior, and Alexia is human. They both try to ignore the chemistry they have for each other, but they eventually give that up at the middle of the book, when Alexia almost gets kidnapped. Lee flips and confesses his love, and they end up together, I’m sure their relationship blooms in the next book, like the other 2 couples in the previous books.

Mostly I liked the way the author combines all the characters from the previous books, and gives them some of the spotlight even though it wasn’t suppose to be about them. All the characters had a few sides.

For example: Lee was suppose to be this bad-ass vampire warrior, but when t comes to losing Alexia (the ones he loves) he can grief, and be really mad, or even have a smile on his face, that is so rare nobody ahs ever seen it but the one that deserves it.

Also, there’s the one in charge of the vampires, Alexia’s best friends husband. He is the most powerful, but when he is around crying women, OMG he can’t stand it!! (like he walks out of the room before he cries, or even breaks down in front of his people!) It’s hilarious!

Now back to my hyperness :3

Ooooooohhhhh booooyyyy was that hot, sexy, and the ending was just FANTASTIC!!! And SATISFYING!!!!

OMG!!! I’m so glad I own this book now!!! And that I found out about this series!!! Because now I can buy the rest of the books of this series!!!

Where the first book, is about the king and queen of vampires ending up together.

And book two, where one vampire broke the rules, and fell in love with a wizard!!!!

Oh boy am I excited!!!!!! I’m so happy right now!!!

I’m probably not making sense right now, because in so happy, and tingly, and just hyper and AHAHAHAHHHRJDODJRHDBSNBJDJEJ

I’m going to calm down now 🙂

Author: Heather Leigh

Published: June 8th 2014 by Shelbyville

Ok, I haven’t been able to review all week, which is why I’m incredibly late with this review, sorry c;

Anyway, I would like to say:

Thank you Heather, and Goodreads for providing me a copy of this wonderful, hot, and sexy book!!! This is the type of book I have been waiting for, for my entire life!!! Thank you!!!!

Oh and beware, there is going to be a lot of this:

….. especially when I mention the hot, sexy, pushy, protective, violent, did I mention hot and sexy? Drew <3333
(view spoiler)

My first reaction with this book:

YES!!!! A HOLLYWOOD ROMANCE!!!!!! OMG IM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!! FINALLY!!!!!

Throughout the book, there was a lot of this:

Especially when Drew’s name kept on coming up on the pages -sigh- 🙂 DREW IS NOW ON MY TOP LIST OF BOOK BOYFRIENDS!!!!

Lets see what else? Oh yeah, let me tell you what else I thought of the book *blushes* sorry, got carried away with swooning over Drew ❤

Anyway, there was also this:

At the ending, because of something that happened and I was just like…

…… that did not just happen!!! (if you’ve read the book, you know what I’m talking about 😉

There was also this:

When I was trying to figure out who Drew was, AND I FINALLY GOT IT AFTER 200 PAGES WOOHOOO!!!!!! 😀

And this….

AND BOY WAS IT HOT!!!! I had to fan myself after like half of the book!!

Let me give you a short summary, because I feel like I’m leaving you in a black hole c:

In this wonderfully hot and sexy novel we have Sydney Allen. Who in her world, is trying to be your average 24 year old New Yorker. But it is very difficult. Because guess what???? Her mother is Evangeline Allen!!!! Who is a Oscar winning actress known as “America’s Sweetheart” to moviegoers across the globe!!!!

And it gets harder!!! Her father is Reid Tannen!! Only like Hollywood’s hottest Bad Boy and one of the highest paid actors in the world!!!!

Everything was going great for Sydney, until her parents’ divorce happened when she was just 12 years old.

She was set off by a series of haunting incidents that left Sydney scarred mentally and physically. And the cause of that?
Paparazzi.

Hollywood destroyed her parents’ marriage and almost destroyed her. She hasn’t owned a TV, read magazines or watched movies since the divorce, refusing to take part in an industry that brought her so much pain. (can you imagine without any of that?? I would be able to function!!)

Now 12 years later:
Her mother took her from LA and hid her in New York to keep her safe, and somehow Sydney has been able to keep her identity a secret from everybody except for her best friend Leah.
She guards her identity fanatically, not letting anyone get close enough to her to find out who she is.

And then,

Sydney meets the gorgeous but mysterious Drew Forrester!!!!
She meets him at a crowded coffee shop one morning, and her entire life changes.

This is when things get complicated, because now it’s time for her to decide if he’s worth sharing her secret with, or if she’s better off being alone forever. What would you do?

But there’s a catch because maybe Drew is hiding something too, he did look pretty suspicious when he had the ugly hat when they met….

Anyway, this book was awesome!!!
It has its happy moments, frustrating moments, sad moments, excited moments, swoony moments, and it made me want the second book RIGHTNOW!!!!

I don’t know what you are going to do Heather but you need to…

RIGHT NOW!!!!

Or else I will have to,

Or even:

Ok, I’m overreacting, but now you know how badly I want it now!!!

Now will just lay here, and count off the days 😥 -sigh-

Author: Anne Elisabeth Stengl

Published: March 4th 2014 by Bethany House Publishers

This is a story about Lady Daylily. She was a free-spirited, tell-it-like-it-is, type of princess, but the only problem with her life, was that her father wanted her to be betrothed to the Prince of Southlands, and he isn’t the prince she loves, handsome and dispossessed Lionheart, but his cousin, the awkward and foolish Prince Foxbrush. Unable to bear the future she sees as her wedding day dawns, Daylily flees into the dangerous Wilderlands, her only desire to vanish from living memory.

But Foxbrush, determined to rescue his betrothed, pursues Daylily into a new world of magic and peril, a world where vicious Faerie beasts hold sway, a world invaded by a lethal fey parasite and is hauntingly familiar.

This story was good, I liked it 🙂 I liked the world building, the MC, the character’s roles in this book, the plot, everything I liked 🙂 Except for one thing, the writing, and the back and forth b/w POV’s that always confuses me. Because a character would be talking about one thing, and then all of a sudden jumps to a whole different thing that hasn’t been talked about yet. But if that didn’t happen, then this book would be PERFECT. (Don’t worry that this is #6, its just the 6th book taken place in the “fantasy” world of the “Wilderlands” 🙂 )

Title: Four Years Later (One Week Girlfriend #4)

Author: Monica Murphy

Published: February 25th 2014 by Headline Eternal

WARNING a lot of ……

….. happening now!!! don’t say I didn’t warn you 😉

Let me begin by showing this:

Congratulations Monica Murphy for making me feel stupid into not buying the first 3 books before reading this one!!! Just wanted to let you know!!!

I loved everything in this book!!!!! Like literally everything!!! The only reason why I rated this book a 4, was because I had a problem with all of the cursing and stuff but that’s just me, so please don’t judge c: and because I wanted more!!! I mean why did you just end the book with (view spoiler) you know????? Ahhh!!!!!

Ok, let me calm down…

Anyway, let me get on with my review….

In this book we have the guy that (started out in this book) gets suspended from his college football team, was forced to cut back his hours at The District bar, has crappy grades, and is forced to have a tutor, who is a girl that is way out of his league.

This trouble making, one night standing, hot and sexy bad boy’s name is… Owen Mcguire!!!!

I know, I know, I said I would stop, but I just couldn’t help myself!!!

Owen has to put up with all of this, without turning to his sister, Fable and her pro-football playing husband, Drew (they both have their own story, which I need to read!!! Consider that book in my top TBR shelf!!!)

Owen just can’t seem to find his own way. His life is basically, doing drugs with is mother, and pulling a one nighter with a different girl every single night, and partying around with his friends and girls 😛

And again, this frustrates and sickens me 😛

The tutors name is Chelsea, and like I said she isn’t his type at all.

Chelsea is the total opposite of Owen, but you know the phrase:

“Opposites attract, similarities don’t last?” Well, that’s basically a fact, coming from this book 🙂

Chelsea is smart and totally shy. And she is still a virgin.
At first she doesn’t do well with guys, let me show you:

That’s basically her, she has had this issue since, her father left her mother and her, got arrested, and is now trying to win her mother back, and like the stupidity her mother is, accepts his apology after over 20 years!!!!!

Anyway, she focuses on her grades so that she can get into a good job, she works 24/7 to provide money for her mother, and her apartment, and she basically lives in schoolwork. She’s never partied like crazy before meeting Owen, she’s never been on a real date, she’s never skipped class, been absent from school, you get what I mean, while she is a goody too shoes, Owen is the exact opposite from that, basically just flip everything around, and that’s him!!!

But don’t be fooled, because under all of that something totally different lays underneath the surface.

Basically this book tells you how 2 completely different people fall in love at first sight, and try to work out their differences, and shows you how people can change!! Hah i knew it was possible!!!!

*Cues the song “Happy”*

-sigh- I’m just so happy!!!
Thank you goodreads giveaway for providing me a copy of this book!!!!

Title: Come Home to Me (Whiskey Creek #6)

Author: Brenda Novak

Published: March 25th 2014 by Harlequin MIRA

This book I won in a goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review, so here goes 🙂

First:
I didn’t like the lies, and the keeping of the secrets in this book.
Everybody knew the consequences of keeping secrets and lies, but they still did it!! and it just frustrates me!!!
At first, I couldn’t finish the book, because the lies kept on building up!! instead of everybody just telling the truth!!!
But nooooo, they thought it was better to just do it, then to actually discuss it with people first, but you know that’s what makes the book!!

But in the end everything turned out alright, and my predictions of this book were correct.
That’s another thing, this book was very predictable, I knew what was going to happen from 1/3 of the book on!!!

I was going to leave this book to not finish pile, but I wanted to keep on going just in case something different then what I thought was going to happen, but nope.

Anyway now what I liked:
Aaron and Presleys relationship;

Although almost more than half of the time, there relationship was steam, instead of chilled, (I have to admit it was annoying at times, I mean with all of the thoughts between both characters, its like “GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!!!!”, and it was also an “Awwwwwwww” feeling
there relationship was ok, they got through the secrets, and they finally CONFRONTED THERE LOVE FOR EACHOTHER!!!, and they are finally a couple, and I will not tell you more, or I will spoil it for you.

In other words this:

I liked the peaceful setting of the story, it made me think of this:

Maybe I’m overreacting, but that’s what I pictured it as, a forest, with a bunch of people hanging around, and a nice waterfall in the distance, with the birds chirping, and the sunlight hitting the water, casting a rainbow

-sigh- what a peaceful sight 🙂

Title: These Sorrows We See (Windsor #1)

Author: Tamsen Schultz

Published: October 30th 2013 by Booktrope

The only reason why I didn’t give this book 5 stars, was because this book didn’t have a lot of action in it, I mean yes the main character in the story goes and tries to find out all about her brother, and goes on the rescue missions with Dash, and then their was the scene in the end, but I don’t know, I guess somehow this book’s action didn’t reach my expectations, but not to worry, certainly the romance and the mysteries in this book did!!!
And I definetly loved all the characters I was meant to love, suspect the characters I had to suspect, and hate the characters I wanted to hate c: so good job Tamsen! 😀

Now with the summary:

This book is about Matty Brooks, she’s had experiences as a child with how sorrow really feels like, having to grow up in the projects of New York.
But as an adult, and successful author, Matty is all too happy to leave that life far behind. So, when she receives a random phone call from her half brother Brad to go over to his mansion and house sit for him while he was gone, Matty gets all suspicious and confused but agrees to do it anyway, but what she doesn’t know is, she just agreed to be a part of a mysterious scene….

Then we have Dr. Dash Kent!!! 🙂
As a small-town vet with deep ties to his community of Windsor, New York, life has always been pretty straightforward. Until Matty Brooks comes to town. Because when Matty sets foot into his town, things start to already heat up, and I mean their friendship.

Also we have Brad, who barely has a point of view in the story because he ends up dead (someone shot him 😦
As Matty’s half brother, he’s ashamed of how his family treated her, and of how they cast her out.

So when Matty agrees to house sit for Brad, this house sitting just turned deadly and Matty stumbles into Brad’s biggest secret.
So throughout the entire book, she finds herself cast back into a world of violence and deceit.

But don’t worry it’s not that bad!!!
This book is full of friendship, heart warming relationships, revelations that will leave you gripping the edge of your chair, and mysteries.

This book was FANTASTIC!!! Honestly, this was one of the first books I’ve read from this author, and I’m so glad I won this in a goodreads giveaway, because I discovered anther brilliant author 🙂 CANT WAIT TO GET THE NEXT ONE 😀

*recommend*
