So, I am currently on Chapter 15 for Children of Blood and Bone, and I have to say… I am loving this book!!! This kiiiiind of reminds me of the Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes, but the writing styles and context of it all are completely different.

I love the different language (of course I’m confused half of the time because it’s a new language) but the author doesn’t fail to translate and I am instantly captivated by the world. I have a feeling I’m going to be using some of these words in the future to curse (probably)…

The characters, oh my the characters. I was about to lose it if something happened to Mama Agba, she’s one of my favorites!!! She’s like Zelie’s mom and I love it! I love Zelie, I have a feeling her strong female character is going to take off, and that she’s going to have amazing powers when magic finally resurfaces, Amari (oh my when she did that trick with the sword and the papaya, it was amazing), Inan… oooof Inan. I don’t like him right now. I have a feeling he is going to have a huuuuuuuge character development though, I’m already starting to see it now with the few interactions (with the dream and setting an entire village on fire like whyyyyyy), and he might be the key to change, and and I’m getting ahead of myself here.

Aaaaanyyywaaaays, the writing style… it just flows. I start on one chapter and dismiss everything else that happens around me to just keep reading. I want to know what happens already! I can picture the world perfectly, the personalities of each character, the actions, just everything and I can’t stress this enough, I’m loving this book.

I might finish this book tomorrow, depending on errands and time, but so far this book is different, I’m loving it and I should’ve read this a long time ago when it first released (good thing though because I hate cliffhangers). Can anyone relate with waiting an entire dang year for another book after a horrible cliffhanger?? It’s the worst.

That’s all for now lovely book bunnies, stay safe and more will come tomorrow!!
